Paula Hanssen, Coordinator of German Studies at Webster University In St. Louis

Specialization: German and Austrian Landeskunde and literature, Bertolt Brecht and his collaborators, use of Internet resources in foreign language teaching. The web allows students to encounter German language and culture in context, normally only possible when students have the opportunity to live in a country where the language is spoken. The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures encourages travel to countries where German is spoken, of course, especially at Webster University in Vienna, where German is part of the curriculum.
