University Duties Dr. Richard St. Clair is the Academic Director for Military Programs at Webster University. His responsibilities involve senior-level academic program management for the university’s military campuses and specialized programs, including academic partnerships with the Department of Energy, Command and General Staff College and the Joint Forces Staff College. Dr. St. Clair has been an administrator for Webster University for over 20 years, and has taught for the university for more than 25 years. His belief is that the quality of any university is a function of its relationship between faculty and students. Therefore, his teaching philosophy is to serve as a facilitator and to provide students with the tools necessary to become lifelong learners. In this regard, he makes every effort to provide his students with the kinds of learning experiences needed to reinforce the attributes expected of them by their employing organizations. Background Information Dr. St. Clair’s education includes a BA in Social Studies (cum laude) from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, a MA in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and an Ed. D in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining Webster University Dr. St. Clair was Staff Director of the Federal Regional Council (Region VII) in Kansas City . Previously, he was a Programs Officer with the Federal Aviation Administration, and an Airport Operations Officer with the Air Force (SAC). Dr. St. Clair's outside interests
are golf and fly fishing. However, his handicap of 14 suggests he needs to work harder than he has
in the past if he wants to become
an accomplished golfer. Fly fishing accomplishments are similarly
average. Dr. St. Clair strongly believes in volunteerism, and in
that regard, he has served as a golf course marshal at Heritage Park
Golf Course for the last 15 years, and has been a tournament

for 3
years. |
